The Volkswagen Golf R has launched at Frankfurt
Update 31/10/09: VW Golf R UK Detail now released. We reported yesterday on much of the detail on the new Golf R, but the Golf is such a big deal for so many that we thought we ought to re-iterate, throw in a few pictures of the Golf R on the floor at Frankfurt and re-cap on the goodies on offer. Ford on Thursday said it will offer a TracKey option for the Mustang Boss 302, which goes on sale next spring. Starting the car with the red-colored TracKey prompts the powertrain control module to a separate, more-aggressive set of software--changing more than 200 settings from street mode.
Toyota Motor Corp. is recalling 106,000 units of its first-generation Prius hybrid vehicle to fix a power steering problem that can make the car difficult to turn. About 52,000 of the cars were sold in the United States and 48,000 in Japan, Toyota said.
